I would like to thank Tyler Sailsbery again for his presentation on his upstart business nomoredorms.com and further advocate his proposed model. With the overwhelming population of students that choose business degrees at UW-Whitewater I believe it’s necessary for the governing body of UW-Whitewater to embrace a fellow student’s entrepreneurial model by implementing the new Student Housing Guide through nomoredorms.com We (WSG) are here to gauge, collect, and voice student opinion on the UW-Whitewater campus. I would contest that by deterring from Mr. Sailsbery model WSG will distance and ultimately compete with student voice on the issue of off campus housing. It’s my understanding that Mr. Sailsbery’s business has been recognized on campus through the issuance of business start-up grants and will carry on with or without WSG. Instead of flowing away from Sailsbery’s model I believe WSG should continue its accordance in the Student Housing Guide matter and embrace the opportunity to stand behind a student in his evolving business.
