LEAP-Liberal Education and America’s Promise

At the April 19th Whitewater Student Government meeting, a motion was passed 16-0 to endorse the LEAP (Liberal Education and America’s Promise) Initiative put out by the Association of American Colleges and Universities. “Following the two Gen Ed summits that occurred during spring semester of 2009, Interim Provost Clements composed this committee and charge the group with making a recommendation regarding the essential learning outcomes resulting from a baccalaureate education. She also was interested in having us define ways to measure outcomes.”
