April 5th’s meeting had a plethora of committee reports! The final Housing Guide decision was made and S09-10:07 and S09-10:08 were discussed in New Business.

Student Issues and Concerns
Ian Boschert: Brought a concern to WSG about landlords misleading tenants about Internet speeds. He feels Internet speeds are too slow in his Stettler Apartment but was told otherwise when signing a lease. University Services Director Luke Schalewski informed him of the phone number for violations and suggested he contact the free lawyer if he is very concerned.
Speakers
Max Taylor: Common Council Re-Election
- Mr. Taylor has changed his mind about not running for re-election for his District 2 Common Council seat. He came to WSG asking for all District 2 resident votes in tomorrow’s election.
Internal Committee Reports
Elections: Mr. Cody Horlacher
- Elections are this week Wednesday and Thursday! 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in the UC. Need your student ID to vote.
External Committee Reports
Student Tech. Fee: Sen. Hagen Kaczmarek
- Fund provided by the Wisconsin System for general access labs (i.e. McGraw Labs, Upham Labs, Andersen Labs) ResHall labs not included.
- The committee’s calling for proposals on April 22nd. Please contact Leslie Meyer – Advisor to the Dean – with ideas.
Special Event: Sen. Jeff Martin
- Summer camps, waivers and an alcohol clause were added to policies.
Sustainability Fund Ad-Hoc: Sen. Karen Drydyk
- Proposal was due today but there is not one available due to lack of committee meetings.
- Sen. Drydyk plans to have a proposal ready next week for WSG.
Officer Reports
President Tim Scully
- University polling place plan is delayed significantly because of approvals needed by the state.
- Diversity among students and staff
- About 3% of staff is of color
- 17.9% of students are of color
- Tim has more in depth details. Ask him to see them.
- The archway in front of Hyer Hall facing Main St. will be moved toward the building 20 feet to make a more safe intersection for cars and students. Bumpers on the sidewalk and talking crossing pads will be installed also to aide visually impaired students. Speaking crosswalk signs will be installed at Prince and Prairie street intersections with Main St. paid for by the city.

Clerk/Anna Schwarz
- Legislation from WSA (Whitewater Student Association) S92-93:02 made it possible for students to skateboard, rollerblade, and bicycle on campus. It is not permitted on stairways, indoors, and ramps.
PARLIAMENTARIAN’S TIPZ OF THE WEEK
If you wish to rescind a motion passed by the body you may notify the entire body prior to the meeting with a majority vote. If there is no previous notification then a 2/3 vote will be required to rescind the motion.

- Agenda sign-up is posted in the office. Please follow that instead of e-mailing Mr. Speaker.
- Working on getting a Speaker e-mail general address.
- If you have any suggestions for the way E-board selections should go for next year’s E-board, let Mr. Speaker know.
Unfinished Business
Housing Guide Decision: Jay Rogers & Sen. Jeff Martin
- The first motion to have WSG go with CyberSolutions as the new housing guide media failed 7-9.
- Another motion was made to enter an agreement with NoMoreDorms.com as the new housing guide system. That motion passed 8-7.
- NoMoreDorms.com is the new website of the WSG Housing Guide.
New Business
S09-10:07: Special Fee Process Committee Act Submitted and Sponsored by: Sen. Stephen Jansen
- Minor clerical changes were made.
S09-10:08: Con. Revis. did not pass this so it is not it is no longer an agenda item.
