A special guest presentation by Mike Cohen on SUFAC (Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee) started at 6 p.m. in UC 259. Constitutional Revision Committee: Wednesday, 9 a.m., WSG office (Sen. VerVelde)

• Looking over Section 10 of the standing rules and highlighting all parts of it that need to be revised for online voting.
• New idea! Change in how WSG operates in the idea of slates/tickets so members could openly meet and discuss items for future discussion during meetings.
• Taking action on online voting items

• Academic department chairs are selected in different ways so they want to create more of a structure to keep consistency between departments.

• PRIDE center renamed to the P.B. Poorman center
• Robert W. Fiscal Stadium for the new soccer arena
• Campus Climate Survey data coming in December!

LGBT Taskforce: Nov. 11 (Sens. Vaver and Jansen)

• PRIDE center renamed to the P.B. Poorman center: Professor and advocate on behalf of LGBT students on UW-Whitewater’s campus. Killed in a car accident in 2007.
• Looking for nominations for the P.B. Poorman Award for members of staff currently employed full-time at UW-Whitewater.
• $1,500 for printing resources approved by the Chancellor for use of marketing tools
• Brainstorming process of issues regarding transgender students at the university. Contact Sens. Vaver and Jansen with ideas on how to improve this process!

Audit & Review: Series of 3 meetings mid-November (Sen. Neerhof)

• Face-to-face meeting with health department: suggestions and clarifications
• Race and Ethnic Politics minor: meeting with Dean of college

Stand Out Officer Reports

President Tim Scully: FEEDBACK ITEM [scullyta20@uww.edu] iCIT Lab Printing Proposal. A proposal was submitted to Chancellor’s Staff regarding print limit. The limit being proposed is 1,800 sheets per year. Any sheets thereafter would be charged $.05 per sheet. If you print double sided this is 3,600 sheets. Do you think there should be a limit to printing? If so, what should the limit be??

Student Affairs committee meeting time changed to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Legislative Affairs Director Scott Coenen: Census Counts Committee work (Meeting Tues., Dec. 1 @ 1 p.m.)

Point of Order–If you feel like something’s out of order and rules aren’t being followed, stand and say “point of order” to the Speaker. After recognized, explain yourself and the Speaker can decide the fate of your concern.

Unfinished Business

Elections Results
Tie-breaker between Sen. Jonathan Bomberg, Sen. Jordan Hartwig, and Hannah Bruton for Esker District 5th seat. Majority vote elected Jordan Hartwig to the seat with 9 votes! The elections results were approved by the Senate.

Campus Polling Place Funding
The funding request was approved by the Senate. Now all that’s needed is the approval of the Chancellor!

SUFAC Allocation
SUFAC Chair Harrison Draayers spoke about the SUFAC Allocations for the 2010-11 school year. If you would like more information on SUFAC Allocation of funds, stop by the WSG office and look at the numbers!
